Maxwell at MSG

to begin, props to my-brother-from-another-mother, DJ No Request (Jesse) for inviting me to the show. He engineers for Maxwell. Did a damn good job, album was excellent- right?

Chrisette Michelle & Common opened up & Max shut it down!! His band was on point (Hod, Latina & crew) levels rarely overlapped. AAANNND Our seats were great!!

how can u not love this jam?

I'm not really an R&B type (Al Green, Marvin Gaye & Aaliyah are my steez), but I really loved this album. Of course, Maxwell has plenty of classics... perfect "quiet storm" material. I knew it was gonna be fun b/c I was gonna chill w/my boy, Jesse- but I was floored by Maxwell's performance. The man can sing (if u didn't already know, u need to move out from under that rock u live under) & he's extra sexy & can dance! (that part, I admit, I had overlooked)

Jesse broke his ankle on the way to the Garden :/ we went to the after party anyway. had to go home after that. too much wine & talky talky w/Max. ha!!!
